A small cheap decent android phone - does it exist?

I can't believe Apple still demand such a premium for their devices. Well I can. But I'm not happy about it.
Apple isn't demanding squat. They're not even selling those models anymore.

Always putting their customers first, hey

Steve Jobs must be turning in his grave at the complete lack of innovation from Apple for the best part of 10 years now. Innovate, damn it!

Snall flagship is the dream.

I have an S10e and it probably is what you want (5.8 inch screen) but... Its expensive.

As one of the other guys said, its a small/cheap/decent triangle. You're gonna have to pick two.

I don't think you're gonna find much:

S10e (expensive)
Asus Zenfone 8 (not in SA? Also expensive)
Pixel 4/Pixel 5 (not in SA)
iPhone 12/13 mini (Not Android)

Those are the best options I know of.

Xiaomis are next best but they're mostly 6.5"/6.67". Its annoying.

Don't get something with <4GB RAM.

What are you on about? Those two phones are pre-owned, IOW used, and being sold by a third party, cellucity.

The iPhone 7 was released in 2016 and still supports the latest OS. Not many android phones can lay claim to that.

Are you sure this phone is for someone else?

Thr pixel 4a seems like the only real decent smaller midrange android phone at the moment.

Edit: although the pixel 5 has practically the same size due to less bezel. So keep that in mind.

Not here to engage with Apple fanbois. I made that clear in the OP. Thanks

Yeah I like the look of those. Costly, though. And can you get them locally?

Well some of us hate big phones. I don't want to walk around like a clown the whole day with my phone in my hand. It must be in my pocket and then I don't want to worry when I sit down that its going to break or be uncomfortable.
That is the only reason I went to Apple, to get to OG Iphone SE. What a great phone that was, small, sexy and ran like a racehorse.
The new Iphone Se is a bit bigger but still much smaller than all these other Phablets the clowns walk around with every day. The Iphone 12 or 13 Mini is just amazing.

I moved to Apple just for the size and now I'm hooked, everything works, always. They may be a bit overpriced, but they can easily last 5 years or more, and if you take that into consideration, its not that expensive compared to the Androids that start feeling old after a few months.

You would have to get them from amazon. Would probably end up aroud $600 including taxes and shipping for the 4a.

Haha. The phone I seek is not for me. I'm loving my Xiaomi Note 10 Pro. Despite its heft.

That 2720 is expensive for a feature phone. We are disappoint.
