A week with Apple ...

Good, stop blaming the wrong tech for other tech issues, and stop blaming tech for your issues.

And do research before you buy, but more so before you start your blame trolling game.

It is really pathetic.

A review, research or 15 sitting at an iStore is not going to highlight day to day issues or problems.

Can you show me a review talking about limited 3rd party sharing or any other issue I’ve brought up? Take off the Apple goggles and see things from an outsider.

Is it that difficult for you to understand that some things cannot be unpacked in 15 minutes?

Secondly, every single thing I’ve brought up is true and valid. 3rd party app sharing is **** -100%. You can’t away from it.

Can you not fathom that this feature is worse and if someone says so, they’re not trolling - but really just pointing out it is a ball ache to use?

You have got to get over yourself and realise the phone has some flaws and it’s not an attack on Apple

It’s best @Dolby *doesn’t* read the below thread, lest….

You’re a car guy , right?

So, let me explain for the 100th time. As per usual, you’ll ignore / not care / not understand - but let me try.

I have my M3 (Android) with 300kw and sprint of 5 seconds. Then this new C63S (iPhone) comes along with 450kw and 4 seconds, according to the manual (benchmark). The fastest in that class by years and slaughtering anything the competition can do.

So I trade my M3 (Android) for the stupidly powerful C63 (iPhone) and head off to slaughter some M3s (Android)

But oddly, my C63 (iPhone) is losing. Each. And. Every. Time. These M3s are thrashing me off the line - but at 200km/h I am pull ahead. Whew.

I head to Mercedes and mention it … only to be told :

‘oh yea … you’ll never get 4 seconds. Lol. The tyres can’t handle that … and roads aren’t made for it - they’re not grippy enough. Plus, we limit that 450kw because the drive shaft can’t handle the power and would likely break. It’s a feature to preserve longevity so you won’t damage your car. Realistically, you’ll get 320kw and on some newer roads, you’ll be able to beat the M3. But it’s up to the road manufacturers. Email them. Lol’

And to expand :

Day to Day driving any performance difference is not really noticeable (80%). Occasionally I stop at a traffics light next to an M3 and blast away to the speed limit, of course (15%). I obviously lose as mentioned, but hey - it’s close.

And for that 5% I’m cruising over 200kmh - I’m the king of road! This is your 3D rendering or benchmarking

Am I unhappy with my C63? Well, I’m a bit disappointed but I’ll probably keep the car.

Did I expect more? Certainly , based in the claims

Will I more careful about reviews, owners and benchmarks for the next version? Without a doubt

The iPhone should be the M3 and the Android the C63
You're right - It should be that way, but it's not.

I recall reading in CAR magazine when they first launched these AMGs how - despite the power and claims - it just had too much wheelspin to attain those figures. And that's exactly how I see the A series chip *shrug* My 3 year old Android opens YouTube, Alexa and other apps faster than the A15

There are obviously a myriad of reasons (excuses) as to why - but it is what it is. iPhone fans can jump around as froth as much as they want - but my Android is pretty close to the iPhone on performance in most normal, real world situations.

How do you measure that? The time it takes my A71 to open an app is not noticeable. Unless even that's faster than your iPhone
It was stepped approach

  • I tried the navigating over and over, as well as opening apps and noted it
  • I then asked here why it was so - but was laughed at because, well, it's 500% faster
  • I then took a video to show it
  • I was then told it was RAM management / battery management / bad coding
  • Finally I was told that the A15 is only marginally slower and no one cares

* Android performance mode turned off

Persistent, traumatic grief can cause us to cycle (sometimes quickly) through the stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. These stages are our attempts to process change and protect ourselves while we adapt to a new reality

On this forum, we seldom get passed anger. If you tell them something is better elsewhere they deny and then anger :)

Is the iPhone the one of the right? The noticeable difference is the FNB app. The others seem to be with how long it takes for data throughput to start. Interesting vid.

You mean it’s not the A15?!

Do you mean to imply that @Dolby doesn’t understand how computers work? You must be an agent of Tim Cook’s marketing team.

You mean it’s not the A15?!
1) We've already agreed that the A15 is the fastest / slowest chip because RAM management / battery management / poor coding / developers etc
2) Takealot is not the data - the app loads slower because of RAM management / battery management / poor coding / developers

Just like the C63S has 450kw but it's limited by the road surface / driveshafts etc so that in the real world, the M3 is quicker most the time
