A5 jailbreak released

Getting rid of slide to unlock on the iPad would be nice.

The whole lockscreen or just slide to unlock?

Activator allows one to manually program from a list of options the desired method to unlock the lockscreen IE shake, double tap home button, double tap power button etc etc etc

There's literally 20 or more options available..

The whole thing. It's useful on a phone but on the iPad (which I only use at home) I don't see the point. I just want to be where I was last when I press one of the buttons.

Nolockscreen does the trick. Jailbreak required of course... :p

Download and install iOS 5.0.1

Downloaded the JB just in case ...

lol!!!!

DO IT!!!!

You will want to erase all settings and data on the iPad before doing the JB (settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings). Just seems to run smoother like that (if you can/want to that is).... Backup with iTunes before erasing of course...

The process under these circumstances shouldn't take longer than 2 minutes.

And enable a VPN, right?

Lol. I think he secretly liked the JB but was too stubborn to admit it :p

Agreed!!! You done the Mrs 4s yet meneer???

Does one need an active internet connection to complete the JB process on ipad at all?

Not 100% sure tbo. You would need internet to populate the repo's within Cydia but to install Cydia on the ipad, possibly not. Try and let us know...

I'm waiting for delivery of a bluetooth mouse so i can see if the BTmousestack works well.

Just need that and I can leave the laptop behind for remote admin of servers.

Anyone use a mouse on their ipad?
