I thought the point was that, you might not need a 600W PSU for your 8800GTX now, but after 2 years, a PSU only delivers something like 500W (I'm guessing).
Point being, rather have more than less.
Though I'm sure there's a lot of hype around big and powerful PSU's, the modding scene is crazy.
I'd still rather not build a R15k rig on a 430W Aopen/generic PSU, though.
whats stopping you from running 2 PSU's??? I mean, if you modded your case a lil bit, you could get 2 430W psu's, one powering the pc, and the other powering your graphics![]()
hey guys, i've got a 500watt Mircolab PSU, i'm not to sure if it will run a 4850BUT I must say that I got a microlab speaker set, bought it about 1 year ago, and it's still going well and LOUD, any idea if the psu will be any good?
