I found this list from the ABSA branch at Centurion lifestyle centre. It helped me tremendously.

So assuming you're all done with the online application and just need to pay but don't know where or how to pay. You need to log on to the desktop version of the online banking and fill in your details.

As step 16 says go find full services on the page, if I recall correctly it is on the top right of the home page after you've successfully logged in.

Then from step 17 to 21 is pretty easy just look for the payment, authorisation, Bill's and municipality buttons which shouldnt be too hard to find and then you'll see your payment waiting for you to authorise it and once you do that, the home affairs should send you a message then you can make a booking.

If you really do struggle just go to the bank. The staff there are really friendly and helpful.

P.S this is not really a user friendly process. A pensioner or an unsavvy tech person will be intimidated by the process.

P.s.s this is my first post so please be kind. I'm sure I left out something. If you need more explaining just shout.

Thanks!! Step 14+ is where I got stuck without this document.

you are awesome, I have literally been going mad trying to add pre listed beneficiaries, no banking details, cant find it in the drop down, credit card doesnt work. Well done and THANK YOU

Let me be honest, this is not a simple process and they should put it on the website to help people.

Good day to you all.

I have tried following the instructions as per Thusi above but sadly its still not working for me. At step 14, I initiaite payment (have initiated literally 20 times now) and then log onto Absa but find there is nothing to authorise. on the DHA website under status it says: Complete Failed.
Any ideas on how to get the payment done would be great.

Hey Noor,

To initiate the payment you have to do it with the same bank that you bank with. Im sure you know that but make sure that you type in your banking account details correctly on the ehome.dha.gov.za page. After uploading your documents it prompts you to check/edit your details. Then also on step 18 make sure you select the last tab on the right named "Bills/Municipality" that is where you will find the payment waiting for your authorisation.

Thank you so much for this. It helped tremendously. However, I still have one problem - you are suppose to take a printed copy of the "Application Confirmation" with you to the branch. I can not find a link to this anywhere on the eHomeAffairs website.

I literally signed up to this thread just to make the payment. Thusi - you are a genius and lifesaver.

Don't stress too much about this - they don't ask for it.
As confirmed by another thread somewhere here and a colleague that just went last week.

And, when you get to 29 you have lost 6 weeks of your life.

Hi All. So the application is for my wife (who banks with FNB) who needs a new id after getting married. I payed for the application using my absa account. Now I can only book at an ABSA brance is this going to be an issue?
