I found this list from the ABSA branch at Centurion lifestyle centre. It helped me tremendously.
So assuming you're all done with the online application and just need to pay but don't know where or how to pay. You need to log on to the desktop version of the online banking and fill in your details.
As step 16 says go find full services on the page, if I recall correctly it is on the top right of the home page after you've successfully logged in.
Then from step 17 to 21 is pretty easy just look for the payment, authorisation, Bill's and municipality buttons which shouldnt be too hard to find and then you'll see your payment waiting for you to authorise it and once you do that, the home affairs should send you a message then you can make a booking.
If you really do struggle just go to the bank. The staff there are really friendly and helpful.
P.S this is not really a user friendly process. A pensioner or an unsavvy tech person will be intimidated by the process.
P.s.s this is my first post so please be kind. I'm sure I left out something. If you need more explaining just shout.
This was very helpful. Thanks.Hey Noor,
To initiate the payment you have to do it with the same bank that you bank with. Im sure you know that but make sure that you type in your banking account details correctly on the ehome.dha.gov.za page. After uploading your documents it prompts you to check/edit your details. Then also on step 18 make sure you select the last tab on the right named "Bills/Municipality" that is where you will find the payment waiting for your authorisation.
Huh?RIP @Thusi101
You are My Hero today thank you for taking the trouble to write this postFist thanks to this post. Helped a lot.
May I elaborate for ABSA payments and authorisations.
Step 13
Bank access number = your ABSA bank account number.
Bank user ID =1
Bank account number : Enter your bank account number again.
Step 15
Log onto ABSA online desktop banking (not the app)
step 16
find "full services" on the page, if I recall correctly, it is on the top right of the home page after you've successfully logged in.
step 17-18
On the ABSA online page, look for authorisation section (should be second one from the top),
Step 19-21
then under Authorisation section, the last tab strip is called. "Bills and municipality" which shouldn't be too hard to find and then you'll see your payment waiting for you to authorise it and once you do that, the home affairs should send you a message then you can make a booking.
How to PRINT BARCODED Document that is listed on emails and Home Affairs site.
This has fallen away now even though the email said it still required. There is NO WAY to print the document. Don't stress, you'll be fine. They have a list of confirmed appointments at the bank so you can just show up. If you are stressed, you can print the email.
Hello there,Good day to you all.
I have tried following the instructions as per Thusi above but sadly its still not working for me. At step 14, I initiaite payment (have initiated literally 20 times now) and then log onto Absa but find there is nothing to authorise. on the DHA website under status it says: Complete Failed.
Any ideas on how to get the payment done would be great.
Hi,Hello there,
I am currently struggling with the same problem. 15 years later. DId you manage to sort it out and how?
thank you
Hopefully you’ve been able to resolve the payment issue. If not, I’d say log into your Absa online banking website on your laptop. And click “full service”. Head to authorisations. There’s an option that says “bills and municipalities”. It should show up on there. But it only shows up under full serviceHello there,

Complete successfully. So it either cant push to FNB due to one of their faults, or there is something being rejected in the details you capturedHaving issues with this too on FNB.
Tried four times, it just spins for a bit then shows as "Complete - Failed". Nothing ever shows up in my payments requests screen on internet banking.
What should it say in Status? Surely if I have to wait it should say something like "Pending" or similar, not Failed?
