Their site is down again this morning and the friendly (?) person at the call centre has no idea when it will be up and running again.

My, my, what service

I will keep on calling out those *******s until they use their FOUR BILLION RAND in service fees which they collected last year, to jack up their IT systems.

Capitec, here we all come? I have a 'temporary' ABSA account. The one thing I must commend them on is CashSend. Brilliant.

It's the 15th, the site will be down, and again at month-end. I've been called out numerous times to customers premises because Blapsa was down, and they thought it was the internet that was down.

Blapsa have no frikken clue, I even got them out to explain why my customer is having so many issues. Nothing ever changed.

Blapsa - so aptly named.

Keep in mind that Blapsa's not the only one who's having issues - other banks also do have issues from time to time.

I am sure the other ones also have issues from time to time, but my issue is with ABSA, because they take my hard-earned money from me.

If Nedbank / Std Bank / etc, gave my bad service, I would call them out on it too.

Where is my refund? I paid for an entire month's internet banking, I did not pay for an entire month less a couple of hours worth of internet banking.
Blabsa are in breach of contract.

I just saw that I paid over R250 in internet banking fees last month, a bit steep considering that it is just internet banking and most of it was internal transfers. Time to look for cheaper alternatives.

You're gonna love this: just for the **** of it, I called ABSA, they took down my details and said they will send it to their accounts department who will call me back to discuss the refund.

And the moon is made of cheddar cheese.

Phone their call centre and ask for a refund. It frazzles them.

I still need to go see them because they've been calculating my bond payments incorrectly.
It appears that if you make extra payments, during the month, your bond payment no longer decreases.

And they increased their original admin fee of around R7.80 pm to R14.40 and now to R28.20 pm in the last year.
I'm not impressed.:(
