Absa MasterCard 3D Secure downtime

Shame, try bank with standard bank and their systems going offline almost every night.
 
According to Absa clients, the bank’s call centre said the downtime was due to MasterCard updating the SecureCode systems.

“We are aware of an issue with Absa cardholders and that the bank is investigating this,” said MasterCard.

“We can confirm that MasterCard’s network is stable and functioning normally and that no updates are being done.”

MasterCard said it could not comment on behalf of the bank.

ABSA Visa cards have the same problem since last week and their 3D Secure helpdesk is totally ignorant about any problem because if you talk to one you get one story and to another you get a totally different story. So frustrating!!!!

It is, but I have had issues with their service buying things locally before. Took me two months to have it resolved the last time it happened.

Also, talking about a credit card.
