Hi all - apologies if I'm asking this in the wrong forum (please point me in the right direction, if so...).

I'd like to implement a free wifi service at a cafe, with options like 1st hour free (maybe using MAC address?) and then charge or limit speeds there after.

I've done a bunch of googling, but it's just made me more confused. I found Tomato and DD-WRT, but they don't go into detail about what they can do. As it stands there is no in between PC so options like MyHotSpot, HCSpot and HandySpot aren't currently options.

Can anyone shed some light on options in SA? Either preconfigured devices or people to talk to?

Thanks
James

If you're looking for an SA company to assist you with some but minimal ongoing involvement, there's http://ispot.co.za/

If you want someone to provide the service for you and just cut you in on sales, there's skyrove or red button

Or do you need a techie to help you set up, once-off. I can PM a name or two

Thanks all - some nice ideas there. I think I'll start with iSpot and see how it goes from there.

Thanks again,
James
