Nearly hit a car head on!

In 2004 about 50% of all fatal accidents were because of pedestrians...
+1I unfortunately don't have stats, but I remember reading stats that showed that about half of road accident fatalities in South Africa were pedestrians.
Wonder how much they offer for things like these and if I should go for it.
In Jo'burg as well, my sister was ticketed for crossing against the "red man" at a robot near the Carlton Centreoh but it is, in the middle 80's they were ticketing people in cape town for jaywalking and the fine was R25 or there abouts.

One of the commentators on wheels24 has a point, City of Cape Town need to claim against the drivers as well.
Given the start point of the video (Main Road), I strongly suspect that the guilty parties were leaving the Claremont clubs. Explains the behaviour perfectly.
