I did a Google search, but would appreciate any reccomendations.

Depends on what they want the software to do. You could just use Excel if you are just doing the basics.

Maybe look at https://www.palladium.co.za/, they have offline options

I use the desktop version https://www.manager.io/ which is free and has bank statement import.

ERP Next - Host on your own server if you have multiple users. If you have a single user, you could try the Bitnami Installer on a PC or laptop
