I just spoke to Shermler, It seems it was WBS fault,( We know it was there fault) so they are going to Re Activate those accounts but they are going to Strickly Monitor the users. One user downloaded 85 GIG +, She also told me users knew they didn't have CAP but didn't notify WBS, now lets see how the cap comes in place.

Let's see if those accouts get Re-activated.

if i pay for 85 gigs and want to download 85 gigs, its MY ****ing 85 gigs... they (and Shaun Green) can suck my hairy balls, as soon as I have an alternative (which is by end of business tomorrow), i already suspended my debit order account and will be sending an email to cancel as soon as I have email access

Well since some users who abused lets say downloaded more than 15 gig + they knew there was no cap in place and didn't notify WBS, since they were score.

Rebel i remember u B!TCHed about the speeds and was downloading again

They can go suck donkey balls if they think their users are supposed to monitor their traffic.

We all learn from Telkom don’t we? Ride them as hard as you can while you can, maybe they will realize then whose responsibility capping and throttling falls to. :D

If I download 1GB a day & their system doesn't work, I sure don't give a rat!

Richard, I honestly thought their BMS was working cause my speed only went up to 25KB/s. Most of the time I was getting between 8KB/s (64kbs) and 15KB/s (almost 128kbs).

My question to you and WBS is: Why the f#ck do u make your problems mine?

IBurst are in breach of their contractual obligations.

Contact a legal representative of your choice, pass them the contract, describe what IBurst have done (as opposed to the 64k line they should have had in place) and institute proceedings.

I must agree, I e-mailed shaun 2 days ago mentioning my concerns and made clear mention that it was breach of contract. He has not bothered replying. WBS has till the end of this month. If not I will get my good lawyer friend to write my cancellation letter.

I was getting exactly the same speed as rebel, 8-15 KB/s most of the time, seldom 20-30 KB/s for the 4 days I had internet connection.

I have downloaded 6.2 GB and now my account is suspended! fu*k that bullsh1t!!!!!!!!!!!

and I also don't give a **** if their crappy sistem don't work!

My I use him aswell so its cheaper, I'll pay half. Since its 2 letters just changing name etc.

I'm in the same position as rebel. I thought the bandwith monitoring was working. I only went up to about 30kB, with 15 kB being average. So, having reached my 3GB capped and having nothing more to lose, I left it on 24/7.

I agree 85GB is excessive, but even with a 64kb line, I can get down about 20GB a month. How can that be excessive if that is what I signed up for and is paying for?

(a little late coming to this thread) but all those who wish to sue or do lawyerly things

1. if you want to cancel then cancel - send them a letter, make sure you can prove you sent it and they received it (e-mail is good but check whether this is allowed under the contract...should be a clause saying domicilia and notices somewhere which will set out how to formally contact them); no lawyer required to write it
2. if you want to sue then figure out what damage you have suffered in monetary terms and just how you are going to go about proving it

if you have suffered damage as a direct result of wbs breaching the terms of their contract (from the posts this seems to be a given) then go off to your local small claims court (claims up to R7 000)...again no lawyer needed (not allowed in the small claims court)

if you are in for more then perhaps spend it all on a lawyer

They are going to "monitor" our accounts are they? Is this maybe called a "cap"? Strange I thought this was already in place? Reactivated or not, the point remains the same: they are blaming us for not doing their job!!! Why should we let them know if we are capped or not? This is ridiculous - if they think that they can push this under the carpet and keep their dignity or some bull then they are wrong!!! They should publicly apologize and make some kind of reimbursment to those who were affected. If they want to change their offering that is fine with me, but if we get anything less than what we have the price better drop as well. And what the hell am I supposed to do until May 1st by the way?

I've no clue, Maybe HELPDESK lies to me just to shut me up, since loads of ppl are calling, youve to wait like about 20mins to get attended, If they do maybe by end of the day, I'm not sure to be honest.

If you're serious, support this action.

The helpdesk lies, obviously. They've done so many times before, why should now be any different.

Obviously, they're not liking this backlash. But it's too late for band-aid measures.
