I have a standard DSL connection with Telkom. I use PPPoE on my Dlink DSL-2750U

Is there any way I can activate a "pass-through" connection when I game that would activate a secondary account with a different ISP?

Basically, I use ISP 1 for all my daily activity but would like to ISP 2 for gaming (without having to go into the router each time). It gets a bit annoying after a while :)

Yes if your Router supports Router + Bridged mode which only some do.

Basically the Router needs to dial it's own PPPoE account but then also allow other Bridged PPPoE connections at the same time.

Failing that you can just flip it to bridged mode, but then every device needs to make a PPPoE connection which is hardly ideal.

Apologies I missed the pass through tick-box on the ISP page. I was trying to set the router into bridge mode but then it removes the username and password field boxes.

So I ticked that, and setup a new broadband connection from within Windows 7 and put in the different username and password. Worked first time! Reason I know it worked is that I had a ping to EU on the go and it shaved off 20ms when I activated the other ISP

Cool :)
