The ad an attack on Afrikaners? Blond "Dowwe Dolla" types maybe, but an outright attack on Afrikaans? Grow the **** up.

So movies and series like Lipstick Dipstick, Poena is Koening, Vetkoek Paleis, Suburban Bliss, Orkney Snork Nie and anything even remotely similar where the mickey is taken out of the blond Afrikaans female or even the Afrikaans male stereotypes is racist? Bull****. Absolute bull****.

Well exactly, I'm pretty sure Muslims who are offended by the cartoon would hold the offence in a lot lesser light if it was based on a stereotyped Joe (or Jane) Blogs rather than a religious figurehead.

Well the ad did the job, and I bought the pizza coz my Afrikaans wife loves boerewors (take that whatever way you want) 
Funny, coz most Afrikaners that I know don't really like these ads, Leon Schuster, Jack Parow, Poena is Koning.
However, I love that stuff. I don't have a problem with Afrikaners @ all. But strangely, a select few, do seem to have a problem with everyone else. I often wonder what are they so afraid of?

The problem with the Afrikaaner ads is that we shouldn't only laugh at certain people, especially people who are no longer in power and are a minority. In contrast if they ever show a guy with a British flag or an American in a stetson, those people are in charge. They are in power. The UK has been dominating everyone for hundreds of years. When was the last time the UK was occupied? When was the last time the US was occupied? They are in power and dominate the world economically and politically and from a position of power and wealth it is easy to let your fellows run a few parody ads.
Although, as our dear friends in the ANCYL like to remind us, most of SA's wealth is in the hands of Afrikaners. Well, white people anyway.
Still, I love the fact that a lone gunman has been responsible for protecting the sensibilities of Afrikaner women as a whole. How dare anyone imply that Afrikaans women might enjoy sex! He will have us know that to the Afrikaner woman, sex is something she must just put up with if she wants a children...

Why are you bringing the YL into this? Whether or not the Afrikaaners have large bank accounts is irrelevant. They no longer hold command of the police, army, judiciary, legislative and executive branches of the government.

I'm not Afrikaans. I have no Afrikaaner relatives. However, I think fair is fair. If blacks, Jews, Chinese don't want to be laughed at, then Afrikaaners should not be laughed at either.

We know. However some will contend that, for example, 'k' is not a colour but an attitude and they will get arrested and chastised for making such 'jokes'.
Everyone should be equal - if we can't insult black people we should't be allowd to insult Afrikaaners either.
