Adega vs. Spur?

When deciding where to eat, which would you prefer - Adega or Spur?

When I lived in Durban, I tried Adega at Gateway 3 times. Was disappointed by some aspect of the experience every time. Never went back after that.

My kids all gown up, so no more spur for us. Adega used to have Friday night fish buffet (Bedfordview one at least), not sure if they still do, was really good and good value for money. If forced to choose, I would still choose Adega over spur

Spur is for people with small kids, or people who like to be near small kids.
It's definitely not for the food when there are other options around, not at the prices they charge.

No Adega here so went with Spur. Their R39 breakfast special with free coffee is cheap as chips.

I find that some Spurs are terrible and others are great. Don't know Adega that well but the one here by us were good when I last ate there. Haven't been back though. Don't know why.

We've got a great Spur here by us. They renovated during the lockdown so it's even better now.

But yes I would also go for a Rocomamas burger and milkshake over Spur.
