Well this would be awesome if Photoshop and Dreamweaver etc. is developed for Linux.

One of the employees of Adobe made this reply:

Thank you all for your feedback. We do currently develop some software for *NIX, including Flash Player and Adobe Reader, so I can understand why you'd want the development and design tools as well.

I have forwarded this feedback on to the appropriate team who will consider it for future releases of Adobe software.

i wouldn't hold my breath... this has been going on for ages.

i'd switch my main os to linux for sure if this happened, but adobe has a history of screwing the consumer over and not really listening much.
there needs to be a new competitor in the market. adobe is old, bloated and hegemonic.
apple makes software to sell their hardware.

Yeah it would be awesome. But after they took over Macromedia they did leave us all in the ****e, no support at all for many of the extensions etc etc. And now they've gone and done away with developer toolbox aswell! *Sigh

yeah, the support of ex-macromedia products has been underwhelming, and their software releases really haven't been much to write home about imo.
i'm talking from the point of view of new features vs cost.

The easiest way to use CS on a Unix machine is to get a Mac :)

I wonder if now is the right time for this? I would say rather wait for chromium and ubuntu to increase the linux user base, so that if Adobe should port it, there will be enough people to make it sustainable- give it two maybe three more years and this will be a fantastic idea.
