Just a thought I had...
We placed an order for a brand new installation roughly a month ago, which went "missing". We re-ordered a few weeks ago and were told that there are more than enough ports available etc. and that a technician would schedule the installation within a week. I was not convinced so asked if they are sure about the time-frame and was assured that they have technicians available to do it, so no problem.
When a week had passed without any communication, I called in to hear what was up. At which time they told me that they would schedule the installation for me while I am on the line - for over a month later (14th of August).
What I don't really understand though, if lines/ports are available, then surely it should be possible to get someone to do the installation sooner than a little over 1 month after the order get's approved? I already know what our number will be etc. So now it's just a case of getting the lines in our home linked up all good and proper. I don't expect it to happen the next day, that's just crazy (would be nice, but unrealistic). I think I am just a little upset that our "1 week to install" became "6 weeks to install".
So the real question, what have you all come to expect as the "average" time for installation to be completed? Is a month +some acceptable? Am I still part of the lucky few, that gets an installation done within a reasonable time? Or am I slowly becoming another statistic?
