I'm confused about the request for an ISP speed comparison.

Would all (normal) SAIX accounts at all ISPs not be the same speed?

You have a point there, me thinks.

Also: which ISPs resell MTN ?

MTN Business = Verizon Business (since 2008)

As far as I know, MTN Business is an unshaped service offering, and the ISP's that resell it are:

1. Nashua
2. WebAfrica
3. Vanilla
4. ?
5. ?

There are not very many resellers of this service offering, and that is probably why MTN Business outperformed the others during the comparison tests!

erm ... I think people might have selected the incorrect providers. When I filled in the list, I by accident selected Telkom as my provider, only to come to the latter part and realize I should have selected IS.

I can bet alot of people made that mistake. By far, IS is worse than Telkom.

Plus the survey was not NOOB/NEWB friendly.

The provider is Telkom or Vodacom or MTN or IBurst or ... there is no IS in that list.

The ISP part was only for ADSL if I remember correctly, and then it was quite fuzzy, but on the provider part, it was quite clear, and Telkom was the right choice.

Something smells funny here, dunno how they got those results.

Wot was forgot is latency. IS satellite sucks for that reason. Anyone worth his salt knows that latency is a big part of the picture for many applications. Sorry - this report is fail
