ADSL Connection Speed

Is there any way I can spped up my internet connection?
I have a 4meg line but its not even running close to what it should be running at?

1) Who is your ISP?
2) What package are you on?
3) What does speedtest.net say?
4) What exactly is slow? Downloads, Torrents, YouTube?

same here...

i got :

1) Afrihost
2) telkom 4mb fastest DSL package , afrihost 2GB + 1GB free, capped/unshaped
3) 0.7mb DL / 0.507 mb UL
4) everything...when i try to download updates or feeware = 8 - 30kbps

First thing you need to do is check your line sync speed on your ADSL router...perhaps it is not syncing at the full rate.
