ADSL hangs on in Internet access race

Lets wait for the effect of the introduction LTE on ADSL.
 
Should WiFi even be included as an acess method on its own?
 
Hard to read anything from those stats, other than a lot of people are still using ADSL. I say that because most people I know that use ADSL, including those on this forum, will also be using a combination of WiFi and mobile access for their smartphones and tablets.
 
Eish I really hope we get to see mobile operators offer bigger capped products for LTE.

ADSL is only nice if you going to use uncapped or more than 10GB. I got Cell C GigaNite 20, which gives me better speeds (6Mbps down, 2Mbps up) for R189 - Im sure I would pay a lot more if I had to get an equivalent of this with Telkom ADSL.
 
While ADSL data is cheap, ADSL access is still too expensive.

Telkom needs a slap upside the head for not providing cheaper access!

Agree with that, we really should be getting faster speeds at this point in time.
 
I second that.

However, ADSL is the only option for users who use more than 10GB P/M. For example, this month alone, I have pulled 30GB from my ADSL account for all the crap I stream / Download.

I would happily move over to an LTE based service provided of the following two:

1. There is a "reasonably priced" uncapped option
2. Their network coverage provides better / higher speeds than ADSL in most locations.

However, I think we're along way off.
