Yep, from Cape Town also getting the same terrible responses as have plagued us for the last two evenings
 
What i would like to know is, are these guys CAPABLE of running a service like SAIX??..It's understandable if the lines go down for an hour or 2, but DAYS??...doesn't make sense at all :-(
 
Great, even the help centre isn't operating correctly. The voice message doesn't give any options to key then after along pass just states that you didn't key any options????? I am on hold
 
Just got through and explained the bandwidth problems for last two evenings and now again. No previous logs of ANY problems by Telkom??? If you can believe that. On hold currently for a "specialist" Will update if anything. Just come back no reported problems. He is now going to contact SAIX..he was putting me through to SAIX and then I got cut off
 
Can't get through again. Would suggest that as many of you experiencing problems hit Telkom with calls
 
lol...I've also tried with NO success...Ive also tried dialing 0800 500200 ( Saix direct ), also with no success...but will continue trying
All i get is ---> " All our "consultans" are currently busy...your call will be attended to"
What this basicly tells me is
1) They have so many "breakdowns" due to poor workmanship, or
2) They are short-staffed technical wise, or
3) They don't give a ****...

Eventually spoke to Axxess tech support and problem is all the "planned maintenance that Telkom is doing. There is a whole bunch of changes that they are working on and they are currently royally f*** up the network. It should be finished by this Sunday. If u believe that!!!! Apparently ports that Google mail uses are particularly badly effected
 
im also in Kzn and getting poor speeds on both local and international .Have a 4mb line and did a speed test with results:

77.80kbps

which means you can download at 9.72 KB/sec. from our servers.

I can't even log into my US based streaming market data provider now ******!!!!! This is a real screw up.
 
Lucky I checked here, thought it was just me. My downloads are terrible here in Cape Town and the connection is terrible
 
If I could get my hands around a director of Telkom I swear I would strangle him.
And what makes it worse is that they don't give a ****.
I have posted too much today.
I'll let others rant while I look at my blank screen

yeah mine is back to normal as well....Don't know for how long tho...:)
 
Yeah, I still can't get email from my gmail account. Most other sites seem fine though.
