International down - Cape Town?

Is international down in CT or have Telkom changed capping policy again?
I can hit anything local and intermitent international but other international sites have taken 45min to load.

which sites you trying to load? mine seems to be working fine..
 
I have had intermittent "problems" for days now.
At the moment it is particularly bad.......I cant express how it pisses me of.
I'm in Fish Hoek if that is in any way useful info.
 
Slow

Yea international is seeeriously slow in CT atm... google seems okay but the rest is pathetic
 
Trying to play EVE-Online on a UK server is amost impossible at the moment. Unbelievably slow.

I'm on an "unshaped" connection (yeah, riiight)

Seems that whenever there's a bandwidth squeeze on international traffic, my unshaped connection becomes remarkably shaped....

Very early morning things are a lot better, but still bad.:confused:

Ive been on ADSL since it was first available here, but it is the worst ever now, despite me "upgrading" to a faster line.

Don't get sucked in to doing that!!!:sick:
 
well I for one am having the same problem again, at the same time of day/night. It has been fine all day long then suddenly intermitent or slow international from 6pm. 2 days in a row at the same time is hardly a fault. What are they doing in the Cape Town Southern Suburbs?
 
Same for me in Camps Bay, Cape Town, Google mail won't download and my US streaming data site very intermittent, started about an hour ago. Who knows what Telkom are up to

Yes same pattern, I see my last succesful connection to Gmail was just after 5pm
 
Lol, it's the new ip ranges, they were implemented like 4 months ago? =P
 
You'll start noticing 41 and 82 ranges in southern africa

And yes, throughput was fine while I was at work and I come home to seriously castrated internet. I get some sites fine others are pathetically slow

All UK sites don't want to load, and some US sites seem slow as well.

I'm also an EVE player like SpottyGekko, and cannot connect to that server at all.

maybe it's time to update my passport...
