ADSL Options for 4 meg + users

Hi

I am currently on 384 uncapped with Wazzup, I have been considering a switch to 4meg, I know my exchange supports it, as I had previously downgraded to 384 due to cost.

Anyway, I was really keen on the RedAfrica special, but alas I wasnt one of the lucky winners .. Is there anything even remotely similar out there, Im looking to keep the adsl cost in the region of about R600 .. I probably could live with about a 50gig cap or after hours downloading or cap splitting etc ..

Does anybody have any ideas .. I have searched, but cant find anything in that ballpark .. perhaps Im living a pipe dream..
 
Why not get the 4mb uncapped from Mweb for R899 per month which includes the adsl line. You sign up for the six month contract, get the first two months free as per the current special they are running. If my calculations are correct that works out to R599.33 per month. Obviously you still have to pay telkom for the voice line though.

Thats really interesting, I didnt know that special existed, it sounds liek exactly what Im looking for, then in about 6 months, I can re-assess and see whats up .. after the new cables have had an impact .. thx very much, will look into it

Apologies if I was unclear, I was looking to get line and Data for around R600 .. if I had managed the WA special, the cost wouldve been about R350 + 150 (R500 ish) .. I was prepared to pay about R250 for the data portion .. and halve the data size, or have some after hours deal to make it up .. R600 + adsl line is just too much.. I have a mental block .. I feel about R600 is a reasonable price for internet (at current .. not for the future .. More Cables and LLU pls) .. anything more is getting a bit rich, then I may aswell make do with my 384 connection...
 
Or if you are trying to spend the least amount of money possible you could get 512k(now 1meg) uncapped from mweb and you will be able to get up to 200GB a month if you push it hard :)

Why not get 1meg uncapped?
