This may be IS or may be telkom

Large amount of our lines (business adsl) are down in eastern cape
IS said they have had lots of calls and are investigating, no official notification out yet

PE, jbay, addo is up

Yup, both our business lines are down. We have two ISP's, IS and Telkom, and neither of the connections are working. They went down at the same time.

I logged the call with Telkom, and I then phoned back to ask if they had any details on what was wrong, but it seems they have no idea as yet.

Thank goodness for mobile internet!

thx - so it seems its telkom (So i can stop hounding IS :P)

We have 3 lines up in pe... weird

lol, np, I was going to phone IS, and then I saw this post, so we did each other a favor =)

I phoned telkom dsl 3 times and I got three different sugestions:
1. Get another router. So I got my spare
2. They are working on your exchange
3. phone 0800 500 200 there might be a problem with your account.

mofo's

lol, yup. Their call centers need some better staff. The second time I phoned I had to beg the guy to see if there was any info. He seemed reluctant to dish out the dirt.

I am surprised anythign works in Central :P

DSL down in Walmer, Summerstrand and St. Francis

hehehe, actually more like in Park Drive....

anyway its back up now :)

luckily because even the Diginet was acting shakely

Most of these messages are like a speaker on a platform saying "Can you hear me at the back"?

I have always wondered what purpose it serves to say lines down. If you in that area and you down you cannot access the message.

Im talking ADSL and not 3G here

Well it helped me reconnect.

I was using my HTC's HSDPA while my adsl was down. When someone said Newton Park was up, I checked to see if I could reconnect and lo and behold, I could.
