Based on false hope and some thumb sucking. Bandwidth prices will start to drop slightly. Uncapped might actually become worthwhile less shaping etc. LLU won't happen or if does it won't be to anybody's real benefit yet. Telkom will keep there ADSL prices the same, but will introduce a new 1mb service at R20 cheaper than a 4/10mb line.

So what are your predictions?

sub-10 kilobit syncs at r799 per week to run well on our crumbling infrastructure, a new carrier called Zumakom, and 15 day contracts.

I predict telkom rams the pineapple further up SA's poop-shute while providing " A world class, proudly South African " service. Seacom will conveniently break consistently at inconvenient occasions. Eassy will still however in the shadows will massive amount of bandwidth with no one to use. Wacs might reach africa and probably offer services 1% cheaper than sat3/safe and make 90% profit, thereby assisting Telkom and their pineapple with a watermelon.

Telkoms looking for a ceo: rumour has it julius is the front runner. entry requirements states person needs to be believe ANC is the best thing since sliced bread.

everybody will move on and telkom will be left behind, still trying to milk the last few drops out of their copper.

NOTHING, at the end of this year I will still be using 384kbps because it's too expensive to upgrade and Telkom seem to be idiots.

WACS lands on our shores and as they open the tap the whole country gets sucked into the the massive bandwidth blackhole. The End ;)
