ADSL problems explained

I changed Primary and secondary DNS to these two IP's:
196.43.1.11;
196.25.1.11;
It helped a bit but did not fix the problem though.
Will keep them in my forwarders together with:
196.43.45.190;
196.43.50.190;
196.43.42.190;
196.43.38.190;
This was just a terrible day to wake up to.
Hope something like this never happens again.. Its worse than the power outages! lol

Hmmm. Not sure if this is related. I live in the Boksburg region and when I got home yesterday I couldn't access the internet either (no email, browsing etc). ADSL line in router displays that it is synch'ing though.

Telkom is freaking hopeless.

Their quality of service is now so low, it would need a fundamental change in mathematics to go lower. I have had sync issues since November 2008, daily.

Telkom close faults without fixing it, fix it only to break it a day later, and so on.

Had a call from them yesterday telling me my fault was fixed, and the line was dropping while I was on the phone with them. Well done!

Our internel network was also hit with a few DNS issues yesterday. I think ol conficker has more to it than what has been found so far.

havent heard anything about this virus around my work, it come and gone....

I share a connection with my landlord (ie connect to his wireless rounter in the next house) and last night I kept getting limited connectivity issues. Again this morning. Could my problems be related to this? Do we just need to reset the router?
