I currently have the home uncapped 4mbps Telkom ADSL internet.
I haven’t had too many issues thankfully, but my contract will be expiring in a few months so i am looking for any better speed alternatives. Eg. MWeb, Afrihost etc
I am looking for ADSL as Fibre is not yet installed in my area.
My data usage is mostly on social media, alot of YouTube and a little streaming here and there. I download/ torrent at night to make use of the Night Surfer option. My husband streams live soccer in the weekends but the streams are very poor, lots of buffering.
My budget is around R400 for data and ADSL line (i will continue paying R217 for the landline).
I would like an 8 mbps connection- uncapped if i can get it in my budget, or 100GB if its capped. I’ve been looking around but no luck so far.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Will it be possible to fit my needs into my budget?
If not, should I continue with the 4mbps contract with Telkom or switch to another provider?
