ADSL Router Wireless Issue

Hi

I have a problem with my Mega 100W ADSL router. The wireless light comes on when you switch the unit on but then disappears after a couple of seconds and doesn't come on again.I have upgraded the firmware but the problem still persists. Can anyone help me ?
 
Yes, the unit was working a couple of days ago.The only features that work properlynow are the ADSL modem and ethernet connections.I've tried resetting the router couple of times, but the problem still persists.When the unit restarts the WIFI light comes on for couple of seconds and then goes off and doesn't come on again.The rest of the router works fine.:confused:
 
Can you connect to the wifi?

Maybe it's disabled in the settings?
 
All wireless settings are active on the router, but there is still no signal.
 
Replace your router.
Don't get the Telkom .own brand router, rather get either TP-Link from www.dbg.co.za or Netgear or Billion (Telkom do offer these too if that is where you want to go, but insist on a brand name.).
Aslo get one with Wireless N 300 not Wireless G as most new eqyuipment comes with wireless N, and the router will be compatible if your devices use Wireless G
 
Seems like the radio card in the router is blown, it happens....

Like Electron say, time to get a new modem, stay away from telkom branded routers. TP link is nice, also, you can have a look at the cash converters, you can sometimes pick up an nice router for R200-R300.

Personally if the router's antennas are mounted, and cant screw off, I stay away form it.

Thanks for the info everybody.I ended up getting a new D-Link 2750U router.
