I know this has been asked lots before, but I genuinely searched and couldn't get an easy to follow answer. I've seen recommendations of 'router in bridge mode' but I only have one ISP, Telkom Internet.
So...please could someone guide me as to how to do a session reset? I am on 4Meg uncapped account but want to upgrade to the 10meg capped offering. In order to take advantage of night surfer data, I have read here that your session has to be reset at specific times, else it eats into your normal cap.
I have a TP-Link TD-W8980 router and I have a basic understanding of how to create a scheduled task in Windows 7.
Any help would be sooo appreciated!

Session reset? I'm on TI capped and night surfer kicks in automatically and doesn't use any of my cap.
No need to reset/restart router/account.

I've got a 10mb line with 50gig softcap through Telkom (Smarthome Premium)
My problem is my softcap is getting used way too quickly.

This how I use it:
7am - log into my FNB Connect account, use this throughout the day for normally use, no downloading.
10pm, switch over to Telkom account before going to sleep, normal usage.
All my downloads are scheduled to start at midnight and stop at 7am.

When I called Telkom now, they say I need to disconnect and reconnect after midnight in order for my night surfer data to be used, otherwise it will be off my softcap.

This has been debated in the past with ranger who says that it is not necessary to start a new session, I'm not convinced though given the note at the bottom of the ADSL usage report:

I prefer to start and end a session within the nightsurfer time slot just to be sure which I can do using my routers scheduler (and still get my eight hours beauty sleep :))
