ADSL syncing issues in Rondebosch

I'm on the same exchange. Line became useless overnight. Can't be congestion?
How are your lines now? I know SiLeN still having issues...
 
Apparently Telkom replaced some equipment this morning and my line is syncing fine (accordingly to Telkom as I haven't been home yet)

Will let you guy know what's up
 
Step in the right direction. But ye, welcome to my world. Ping seems to have gotten worse the whole week. 800ish now too.

seems that Telkom in Cape Town have no idea as to what is happening. I am on Muizenberg exhange also with 800mS and 0.2Mbs dl.

Just called them for an update.
He said they're running tests - almost finished final test (probably haven't even looked at it)
I asked for ETA he had no idea.
I asked if he could tell me anything about it, no
I said so it's just broken? Yes

Same. This is ****ing frustrating. I'm going to make the utmost nuisance of myself over the next few days until either my ISP or Telkom admit that there's a ****ing problem here.
 
I've been having problems since telkom introduced the 3 months free adsl trial crap. My line speed was 3.52Mb/s and now it goes down to 10KB/s. If I reboot my router about 8pm, I am unable to connect to any ISP until around 4am even though my line syncs at 5Mb/s. This Sucks... OBVIOUSLY free users are all gonna download till the sun dont shine and go frek in the morning. This issue is related to network congestion and NOT faulty lines. The IDIOT who introduced the free trial should be necklaced. I know of at least 15 trial users who are all not going to sign up after the trials! Why do paying clients have to suffer because of GREED! One other thing. WHY DO THEY ASK WHO IS YOUR ISP WHEN YOU REPORT A LINE FAULT? Are telkom ISP clients privilaged over others?
 
Telkom sms'd me to proudly tell me they fixed the problem and have closed my fault.
Still have huge latency issues.
Escalated and called them back...got a new fault number. So for all I know, I'm going to wait another week and a half and still nothing will have been done.
