ADSL telkom Authentication is down 23/12

From today my adsl modem fails to connect : incorrect pasword !!
I'm 200% the password is still the correct in the modem config.
Looks like Telkom authentication server is down.

In addition http://www.telkomsa.net/ web site is down (when accessing via my 3G). No way to log a fault....
i see a conection between the 2.

No one has the same pb?
 
same problem here after about 50 attempts my afrihost account connected but no luck with the telkom acc
 
telkomsa.net little bit working now.
Got that when submit the fault:
HTTP Status 404 - /support/troubleshooting/thank_you.jsp

it's the "thank u" page. maybe the fault was logged.....
 
If you guys try a IS account (for example) it should work... it's what we have done for our clients, we've logged into our Linux box (traffic split) and changed the SAIX account to IS account and bam it works.
 
Started yesterday, but later during the day it worked, but this morning the same username/password not recognized on the domain.
calling 10215 also does not help. We working on it. Ja ISP for live what a joke.
 
I'f been trying to figure out why the hell I can't connect to Telkom since last night. Afrihost Free 1GB account saved me though.
 
Seems to be authenticating now - on and off anyway...

what do you mean by "IS account"?
may be you can give a link to a page that explains this method...
 
You guys have to admit, Telkom is generally quite Stable... when they go down, at least they come back up reasonably fast.

On the same page, when Seacom goes down, we all pack a lunch and go on holiday! :D
 
Thanks 4 this thread I was on Teklom This morning at about 8 AM
MY son turned my Mega 100wr router of and took Hours before I got connected again ..
Thought the problem was on my side ;-)
 
When Seacom breaks they have to go find the break then lift the cable and fix. Looks like Telkom cannot find their authentication server to fix it. Now 28+ hours without internet service, reportedly due to the above mentioned "authentication server" failure ...SIES ... SHAME

Or does Telkom only have one, and they are waiting for a replacement to be flown in from "snow bound" Europe ...
