ADSL TELKOM unavailable

About 2 weeks ago my parents were informed by Telkom that their lines were stolen and now they have a telephone but no ADSL.
Last week the same thing happened to me. I have lost ADSL but telephone still works.
I have logged a fault with Telkom but to date no feedback.
I have asked them if I am going to end up having the same issue because if that is the case then i need to find an alternate solution...
It is becoming a serious issue as I work from HOME...
I do not even get feedback from DM on Twitter

How can they blame no internet access on stolen cables if the telephone still works? It is the same line. There is no ADSL line that runs on the street into your home, just one line that is used for internet and telephone. Phone them again and ask to be put through to the escalation center.

Don't bother with their call centres...- useless, IMHO...... send DM via their Twitter account - responses way quicker and far more informative people on that end of their support regime.
