Adults without friends.

Any middle aged adults here without any friends?

When I say friends, I mean people you can confide in, and communicate with regularly.

I can't imagine not having any in a decade or two, and it pains me to see certain people in my life who don't have this.

How the **** do you survive without buddies?

Depends if you want to be a lone wolf. Some people prefer that...
 
I can go for some time without seeing anyone without going insane. Maybe it's because I have the Internet to keep me company and amused. Fortunately I do have set of friends whom I see on a weekly basis and I socialize often with my collegues.

Friday evenings are sacred to me however. I like to be home alone and just relax.

People are hell, I am a recluse... or quite easily could be.

Socialising is hard work for me. Fortunately I am married to my best friend and I see her every day. She knows I could easily become a recluse if I was left to it. I have about 3 close friends other than my wife. I hate interacting on a social level with strangers. Kids parties and school functions are the worst for me.

Same here and my fiancee also my best friend :)

I do have lots of acquaintances though with whom I can share a drink.

My fiance's family is also pretty close. They get together almost once a week and if its not that we are visiting some of her friends. It's probably been 3 weeks since we last had a decent "us" night: sitting at home with a dvd and eating junk food :p

Really. I have no cats. None. Nada. Not even the soundtrack. Not a single feline.

My mates selling his small holding in the kzn midlands that comes with a massive 5 bedroom house and a cottage off in the corner should you ever get the itch.
