Hi, I just had the most ungodly of viruses on PC and successfully removed it. It go's by the name of Advanced Antivirus Remover and is a mock antivirus program that does a little search finds fake viruses with alarming names like:
Trojan.exe, Spy_trojan.exe etc. wow they do look bad, even like that :erm:
Im not saying this is the worst virus ever but defintley the worst one I ever had, *constant popups making your PC [EDIT] unusable!, *Software not opening or closing after 2mins specially photoshop
. Regedit and taskmanager also disabled.
The goal is to get you to pay for the "software" and off these hackers go with your cash and credit card details. This might trip up amature PC users or old folks some of which are are on here
.
Also whenever you logon to the internet, it tries to download more crap.
Luckily this program is easily removed by Malwarebytes antivirus, AVG did nothing, also, this virus has something in the code which prevents you from installing software or tries to, try restarting the PC and try installing again (if your so unfortunate to contract this)...
LOL, If ever I find the people who created this virus, theyl understand what a true South African snotklap is!
