I would appreciate some advice, my 512mb 24 month contract has ended with Nashua Mobile. It was R249 per month. That obviously included some sort of hardware subsidy for the E220 free modem.

Nashua Mobile offers a rate of R189 for 512mb, but only if I sign another 24 month contract and utilize my existing modem, alternatively I can stay in a month to month for the existing R249.

What other options are available if I am to continue using my E220, and preferably without being tied into a 24 month contract.

would be the best.
or register the sim card on vodacom4me - then you can add your own bundles.
Like 2GB for that price!

If you are not going to take a new modem, then there is no point in committing yourself to a new contract. Prep-paid bundles are very easy to manage using either v4me or USSD codes.

yep, go prepaid
cancel the contract and get the sim moved to prepaid, if they give u hassles just get a new prepaid sim
but make sure u can cancel the contract
