CUD

as most of you probably know I got the CM 690 II Advanced

Its probably one of the best cases (if not the best) I have ever had. I have recently taken a dive into watercooling, and Im starting to think I should get a slightly bigger case.

this is what is looks like currently, I know it needs some cable management ;)

Im about to add another loop for the GPU, and Im thinking my airflow is gonna go for a ball of chalk. I will be able to squeeze the 240 rad and the pump inside but its gonna be a tight fit. the rad is gonna go at the bottom next to the PSU, and then two 120mm fans on top of that... :erm:

Should I just squash everything inside, or should I get a slightly bigger case? thoughts?

Ok, having trouble finding a case with dual 120 fan mount points either in front, or the bottom which still allow you to use the HDD cages they come with... looks like its 690ii or bust (ie a much bigger case with a 360 or 480 rad).
The other option, is a case with a 200mm up front, and you get a 200x200 rad... but I think I know what your reply to that is going to be :p

The Obsidian 650D is the closest thing (and you can move the HDD cages), but it doesnt come with 120 fan mounts up front, just a 200mm cutout... so if you're willing to do some cutting on a R1800 case, thats the best I could find

edit: but... you'll replace the top 200 fan with a 240 rad, then you could move it to the front for push pull setup on a 200 rad...? Just more options to confuse you with :D

The Coolermaster 692 is a very nice case if you want to start with watercooling, it is the only case at the R1000 point which is able to mount 2x 240 RAd's(and 1 being a proper 66mm one with 4x fans) inside, although you have to do it at the expence of 4 HDD bays.
The rear 120mm will not be able to fit a 120 rad as the space is too small

Here is a list of the cases I have worked with and some owned, Currently I have the Trooper and is truly a very good deal @ R1600 from most online shops.

Corsair 600T - Worked with - NOT Designed for watercooling only 1x 240 will fit and 1x pair of fans, will fit a 200mm RAD

Corsair 650D - Owned - If you can find a 200 RAD it will fit a 200 and 240 both being sandwiched, depends on your board and RAM not getting in the way of the fans as well. with minimal moding a 360 Rad will fit but will hanper ODD drive access.

Raven RV 02 - Worked with -Not designed for water cooling. Will have to mod.

NZXT Phanton - Worked with - same as the HAF-X only 1x 360 Rad and a 120 mm Rad will fit, does sack one Drive bay. Nice case TBH

CM HAF-X - Worked with, wanted one but can't stand the Look - Only 1x 360(sandwich fans) and a 120mm RAD will fit. Will not sack one of you ODD bays.

Coolermaster TRooper - Owned - 2x 240mm Rads(Sandwich fans) and 1x 120(sandwich) mm Rad will fit with 8 HDD's and 3 ODD's. - VERY Nice Case. With moding a Quad Rad will fit, however you will have no drive bays or HDD cages available. If woy move the HDD cages around you will be able to fit 2x 240 rad in the bottom.

Coolermaster 932 Advanced - Worked with - only 1x240 Rad at the top(sandwich fans), with moding really becomes a nive watercooling case.

Coolermaster Cosmos 2 - Haven't worked with, but want to badly - 1x 360 Rad, and 2x240 Rad, with minimal moding will fit another 360 easily.

Corsair 800D/700D - Worked with - without moding it should atleast allow for a 360 and 2x 120 mm Rad's to fit, with moding it becomes a different story.

With Modding of any of these cases the posibilities becomes very different.

it fits next to hdd cages, up right position, my friend mounts there with cable ties.

and then 360 at top.

It does have it's cons as being the longest cards you would be able to fit will only be 260mm with single fans and Less with dual fans. If a GTX 590 is installed the Fan duct and Fan has to be removed.

Did the Same with my 650D, have a 240 in the upright posision and 4x 120mm fans on it, longest cards that would fit is 27.5cm.
