i have 3TB of data already, so i would much rather back-up my own data than trying to piece it all together from buddies... so reading up on RAID rite now...
Note that RAID is not a backup solution. It protects from single drive mechanical failure. If you delete a file by mistake it will be lost in both RAID-0 drives and you'll lose it. If your PC is stolen or lightning hits it and burns it up - both drives will die. It's not a backup solution. To have backup, keep the data on a seperate drive, ideally in someone else's house. So if your house is flooded
and your stuff is lost, your buddy will still have your backup.
