Another advice thread.

There's a guy I am friends with, and there is chemistry between us. I would like to try out a possible relationship. I need tips on how to "suggest" this without making the first move.
 
Guys are simple things.

Whisper in his ear, in no uncertain terms, what you want to do to him. Then cook him a steak.

Why can't girls just make the first move? ha ha ha...
 
Won't he think I'm being forward? Do guys really prefer for a girl to make the first move? I had a braai on the weekend and he was there, he kept staring at me as though he expected me to initiate something.

Just like girls, guys can be pretty unsure as well. You don't need to grab him and start necking, but just breaking the ice, maybe lightly touching his arm or something in that line, is usually enough to give the guy the freedom to 'make a move'.

But, in summary: Screw that 'think being forward'. Go 4 it.
 
Just bat your eyelids furiously & all the other things you girls do when you're on the hunt. He'll get the idea.
 
You have to tease him intellectualy.Come on too strong and he backs away leaving you to play catchup.Make a move but do it subtely and leave him begging for more.
Sms him something nuaghty but nice and then wait.guys love mystery and anticipation.
 
IF he's staring at you he's probably interested but afraid he's gonna get shot down in flames, if he approaches you.

Just ask him if he would like to go for a cup of coffee or a drink, something like that and maybe then give him some hints that you are interested in him. You need to help us guys out sometimes we can be as dumb as anything when it comes to reading girls
 
Take it from a guy, we are blind as can be. Don't but subtle, he will probably miss it, and you will read that as a "no". Be clear, if he does not want a relationship he will let you know. If he does, he will sweep you off your feet :D

I kinda get the shot down in the flames part coz we have had some hectic arguments before. But we are still together, as friends. I'm interested in more than just a roll in the hay, lol. I never thought men could be complicated tjo!

Imagine the embarassment if he says No! Gosh, i would wish the earth would swallow me! No wonder us girls don't usually make the first move.
