jk8 u know that this comp means nothing

we need to build for the world cup

its the african cup of nations who gives a crap, i wanna see a decent SA team for 2010

if this was a stepping stone then so be it

he is getting paid 2 mil a month because the amount of money generated by 2010 can pay for it easily

jk what do you want the man to do, pull good players out his arsehole?

we have asked this man to come and coach a team that has no decent players apart from pienaar

its like asking someone to coach zimbabwe and then bitching because zimbabwe never wins a cricket, you cannot expect a team with no talent to win matches

Its the African Cup of Nations is the point if we suck this bad in this comp we gonna die in international games.

This man coached Brazil they all have talent... maybe these guys are out of his league...

Anyhow lets see how they do on Thursday. Im expecting a .......!
 
dude brazil's 3rd team have more talent than our first team

i dont think the best manager in the world could do anything with the current team

managers are only as good as the players they have, decent player then manager skillz come into play, kuk players and it does not matter how great you are, you will come short

I don't agree there as everyone can see that South Africa has talent. For a team to be successful, they need to play together for longer to understand the coach, the football style and each other. In the past we never had a long term goal like we do now. We always assembled a team of players based in Europe and hired a coach and if the results did not come we fired the coach, hired another who assembled a different squad and was therefore bound to fail and be fired. This vicious cycle continued until Perreira came on board. Perreira has a very good track record so we can't fire him because he is the best that any country can get. Any coach could have turned our fortunes around given enough time...but the preasure of not getting result has proved to be to great to handle for SAFA
 
With Angola and Tunisia drawing 0-0 it didn't matter what we did. I thought the 1-1 draw was decent. We had some good chances in the 2nd half at least. Still a long way from where we need to be though :(

we played well.the ref was horrific tho...im dissapointed that we didnt get 2 blatant penalties...
 
Lol I like that Thsabala guy, cracked an excellent shot and that lob almost made it, He has potential.
Modise also but he gets scared when he actually makes it to the box, but thats just a self esteem issue, could change.

Overall still lack lustre, we deserve to be kicked out. I wonder what this comp will mean to them in another 23 months but hey, who knows.

To all the S Zuma fans, the guy sucks!!! Finish.
 
yeah,iv lost my respect for zuma...he must hang up his booties,we should have won but the damn gay refs...we gave a decent account of ourselves atleast...
 
against a 2nd team Senegalese side . Lets stop imagining things . Our side is crap at least we didnt play any big sides like Cote or Egypt .
Now that we want to build a squad for 2010 , I was just wondering like when we lost the bid in 2006 did pple stop playing football . Becoz the likes of Modise are not youngsters and its hard for them to improve rapidly like a 18-21yr old . Maybe we have late bloomers .

South Africans are late bloomers and you should expect this team to start delivering when most of them are over 25 yrs of age.
Our side is not crap, just watch the space you'll be forced to eat your words in the near future. That team can beat anyone on any given day provided hey correct silly mistakes and learn to finish in and around the box.

Overall, I was satisfied with Perreira's experiment, It will certainly bear fruits in years to come

My dream final has turned out to be a 3rd place play- off. Oh well I must give it to Egypt now, they play really well. But I would like to see Cameron score first so that Egypt may come out and play instead of relying on counter attacks...a grudge match that might go to penalties...we shall see

tiko hasnt got half the skill of pienaar!
 
So what have we learnt?
We dont need a foreign coach.
We dont need to have players that are based overseas.

Egypt played very well, won every game.
What has Bafana learnt from this/them?
 
well experience

we atleast scored goals, passed the ball quite nicely at times

give it time, we have a great coach, all we need is some decent talent
