More than half the people in the USA dislike Bush and his government but it is not condemned as racism ? What about other political parties like the IFP,ID etc that dont always agree with the ANC government politics are they also racist ?

by having to put up high fences and gates, trellidoors, burglarbars ?
anti smash and grab on car windows, car alarms, gear locks, tracker ?
hiring private security companies to protect us, because the government clearly cannot protect us.
And what about the poor ANC voters, they cannot afford security, they are the greatest victims of crime.

Winnie Mandela is more concerned about her R4 mil jewelery that got stolen than about the people that support her party.

Having to read in the newspapers everyday of people begin murderer and tortured, and then how the president denies that there is a crime problem in the country.

Not getting a job you are perfectly qualified for because of the colour of your skin and your language and culture (blatant racism) to see a black person without any qualifications getting the job...

oh ja, and Telkom's (that is government owned) wonderful rates

please tell us how we benefit ?

maybe i missed out on my education due to the fact that my dad was on the border for 5 years defending my country .... and the school was burnt down by terrorists ....
but what am i complaining .... i had an easy life :eek:

It could have been a retaliation to some of the post on the forum.
 
What a cheery debate this is turning into.

Boyrock, you're clearly as prejudiced and narrow-minded as you are accusing other people here of being. I think you'll find that the vast majority of people living the world over haven't had easy lives. It's just the priveledged few that get that.

Now think about this situation. Our current govt. introduces the concept of AA (something that could have worked excellently if done properly) but unfortunately it's not handled well and a lot of innocent people get hurt by it.

So now imagine that a new govt. comes into power in 20 or so years. If they were part of the people who were hurt by AA during their lives are they likely to forgive and forget? No, they're more likely to create a reverse of AA and start the whole idiotic cycle again.

At some point someone has to stand up and say "Yeah ok, we're going to take one for the team on this one. Let's just live peacefully with each other."
 
Some cultures

English: Drink, cant sing, lazy
Black: Cruel, good music, bad sense of humor
Afrikaans: Terrible music, strong, aggressive (because of the music?)

We all have our generalisations but at the end of the day most of these are not true. AA is a clever idea but has got out of control. nothing you say to one another will solve the issue unless you are in government or do something like the university. i think it s a good point they made!!!

Its good that we have a country where they (the students) can freely make their point. Hopefully something positive came out of that experience. It would be interesting hearing opinions from those who were involved (good and bad points).

Yes we have crippled the black South-African races. We could have done more than what we did.

Certainly Zimbabweans are better off, Kenyans are doing much better, Malawians also. I wonder why so many of those people have moved to the land of oppression, immediately following 1994. It must have been since they liked the terrible conditions in this country. They moved here since the NP ran this country better than Mugabe or most other African countries are run. So give us some credit please.

We could have done much more for the South-African black people, but we did more for them than their own people would have done. We gave control to the ANC, since then we have had no say in the politics of this country or how it is run.

Please give the DA the presidency and allow us to fix this country. I'm sure the ANC is doing a great job for its people, but the DA will be a greater benefit for ANC supporters and South-Africa as a whole.
 
I'm so glad someone make a decent post.

All is related and really good posts but we need solutions and this is the first one i've read

Actually, campus security intervened and removed them.
