Afrihost AirMobile Data Only

Hello.
For LTE packages, we offer public IPs. But the Firewall is seeing the IP as NAT.
You may use DMZ to the firewall without any restrictions.

Now thats a speedy response :) is that statement the same on AirMobile (as I am not making use of provided router).

Not sure what this relevance is?

For our legacy mobile yes, however for Airmobile MVNO all IPs are CGNAT.

Which package do you have?

Sad as this is what I was asking prior to signup :/

I have 1 x Airmobile MVNO and 1 x Mobile20 LTE.

Unfortunately, for Airmobile MVNO we are not in control of the IP allocation and it is Natted.

Prices going up on 1 May. The message says your old price was R297 until 30 April. We're you on some old promo package that they decided to bring up to the correct pricing?

I know that they did that on some legacy fibre package pricing recently.

Hi @Afrigirl - To confirm, I need Dynamic (public accessible) IP. If i sign up for a package (PureLTE) on for one of the Telkom capped packages (Choosing Telkom as apposed to MTN as I dont want to be locked to Tower and be abe to move the service), would this be behind CGNAT as well?

I guess what I am asking is - Which LTE solution can you offer that gives me BOTH mobility AND public IP (not cgnat).

Hi.

Telkom is using a carrier-grade NAT, and we do not manage the IP allocation.
MTN Pure LTE would have worked for you if it was for the location lock.

Alternatively, you can try Telkom and set the APN to 'unrestricted'.

would setting to unrestricted mean dynamic IP? Would be a hard pill to swallow if going through all the effort and "testing" it not to work. if you can confirm that factually, then Im happy to go that route, as long if its not for the sake of "trying" :)

I can confirm using "unrestricted" APN will give you a dynamic IP and it does allow inbound connection.
The normal MTN sims (small caps) also have dynamic IP's
