Well I'm experiencing battery drain have you moved me over?

Potentially, all your legacy customers are experiencing the battery drain problem, most won't even be aware of the root cause. Afrihost borked something, so rollback or patch whatever you did recently to cause this.

Maybe a dumb question, but is this fix for everybody or just those that sent DMs?

I'm not sure, my battery is seemingly again going down fast. Was fine, but not so anymore. This could be placebo but I've been losing 4.5%/h while screen off - this is very high for my phone. I'm trying out my non-legacy sim now to test.

same here..... restarted now and will see
 
Noticed my battery drain is back.
Seems like I defaulted back to a public ip as I am able to ping the IP.
 
Can someone explain how to diagnose this being problem?

Just tell me if this is right:
1. Put phone on mobile network (switch off WiFi)
2. Get your IP from

You are not on the Afrihost Data Network

support.afrihost.com support.afrihost.com
3. Use a different connection to ping that IP
4. If publicly accessible then ping will respond (I'm surprised android does that but okay...)
5. Try airplane mode on /off
6. Repeat above
7. If still an issue DM support?
