You seem to continually contradict yourself?

How would I be contradicting myself? I did say we were going to have to restart our Network Management Software, and that whilst this was happening the speeds for our users would tank until the system was fully up and running again.

You know I need to download the latest Windows 1o insider update, and the Visual Studio 2013 iso, the ISO alone is 6.88GB. At these speeds I might as well not even bother.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 979 kbps (122.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 590 kbps (73.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 364 ms

I know it feels like we took a step backwards now, but this is part of implementing the needed changes to get things back to normal again.

Thats what my wife told me shortly before she put me on rations ...... and hence the need for good fast internet ... :D:D

Same here, have about 60 gigs of steam games waiting to download, but I've put them on hold for the mean time

Speed will be better, we are fine tuning this and that, soon things will be the way they were, now you are restarting things again, which earlier was supposed to give us the correct speeds. Its been a long day, I am fustrated, but I dont think I am being unreasonable.

How am I supposed to do my job if I cannot download the tools I need to do it?

Latency is making Nkandla look cheap :P

Hey guys

Things are coming back up slowly but surely, we're still monitoring things closely. Latency and speeds should return to normal soon.

Just on the topic of customer service. I've always been under the impression that Afrihost has good customer service, but they are busy changing my mind for me.

I logged a ticket about the speed issues yesterday at 11am. Till now I've only received the automated receipt mail. No service consultant has bothered to respond. Even if it's just to say: "We Know. Keep waiting sucker".

Absolutely beyond pathetic service.

While I have my b*tch session going. These summer data giveaway is just as ridiculous. Try and win over the masses that are on capped accounts, but the rest of us on business accounts should just swallow what's been going on the last while. Not even an attempt to make this bad service up to us.

After sending an e-mail to the Afrihost support team, we were told that they have recreated the ports and that there is no issue on their side whatsoever. We did the above 3 tests and sent the results to them.

This is just to show how AH are blatantly lying to their customers when they are well aware that they have a serious network problem. We have given them 24 hours to solve this problem, otherwise we will cancel our account.

These tests were all done from Cape Town to Cape Town.

Okay so far its improved drastically - I'd say its about 95% of the way - still 5% off of where it used to be though, this is mainly the stability of the speeds
