The "Optimizing" lets call it what it is.....shaping of business accounts and blaming it on IPC capacity is a cop-out. IPC in my area in CT were upgraded about 2 weeks ago Telkom informed us before they started. These shaping policies started after that and I haven't had problems like these before!
This is a MTN network issue and an Afrihost network management problem!
No upgrades have taken place, I think Telkom may have upgraded the infrastructure in your area - but this has no affect on what's currently being faced in terms of demand.
O please o please tell me why the only thing that is slow on your network is p2p?
This is completely unacceptable for a FULL payer to get this service, that is not even 10% of my line speed. I am seriously thinking of paying only half of my fee this month.

Now please AH, explain that to me. Stop talking **** to us! Just tell us the truth, we all know better! But this has to stop or I WILL reverse my payment to you guys come end of Oct.
This is completely unacceptable for a FULL payer to get this service, that is not even 10% of my line speed. I am seriously thinking of paying only half of my fee this month.

As mentioned, this is due to the high demand on the network. Some downloads may be degraded.
Upgrades are on the way.
What is the difference between degrading and shaping services?

In this case, some downloads are degraded - so traffic for that service is being contended.
