Speeds are still bad even though it's weekend. Only getting 50% of what I am paying for.

This is ridiculous. Any recommendations for an alternative business account from fellow forum members would be appreciated. Cancelling when I get home this afternoon.

Try WebAfrica. We're switching over to them at month end. I've done thorough testing with them and it's a proper business account! Same price as AH. Only difference is P2P is shaped during office hours... suits our business perfectly!

Thanks!

Another day of crappy internet from AH (10Meg Line):

Download Speed: 1194 kbps (149.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 791 kbps (98.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 98 ms
18/10/2014 14:58:12

Looks like it might be time to move as nothing seems to be getting better after the last few weeks. All I want is what is promised and paid for.

Things are deteriorating . It look like Afrihost can have a working system even over the weekend .

Download Speed: 3387 kbps (423.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 419 kbps (52.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 61 ms

Better ,,,,

Better ,,,,

With latency like that you might as well use the postal service. Which is on strike.

ALSO: I bought some lipstick today, I at least want to look pretty while I am getting f88ked

Sounds like South Africa could take a lesson from Israel... look at this recent case:
The plaintiff claimed that the 012 did not provide an appropriate speed to its subscribers, when P2P file sharing programs were used, and asked for a compensation of over NIS70M (~$20M).

Hmmm...

Edit: Found another link, shaping on the upstream, this possible here too?

I am happy to report that after having moved to another ISP I have had 0 / zero / zilch / nada problems with speed or connectivity.

This is after several months of pulling my hair out whilst everything from the adsl line, router, wifi ap, my cat were blamed.

After catching up on this thread to see if anything got better after i left i am soooooo glad i dont have to deal with this bs anymore.

Cheers AH - i wont be back.....

Which ISP is this, please? PM me if you have to. Pretty desperate here.
