Then give us answers... we are all the dark here...
Running test after test and still we in the dark....

I'll gladly give you answers, however getting personal and making comments like you have against our team certainly won't speed up any processes.
We need to gather enough info to make an informed decision on what to do going forward. As soon as this happens we'll have it posted here.

Have a good evening.

Understood and i apologize for being crude. I am however not sorry for wanting answers.
Tell us what you are doing so that we better understand the process you are taking?

so now there's a process?????
Earlier today a lot of us were told (AGAIN) that Telkom was to blame and that there was nothing wrong on AH's network. In fact, more than 5 people here from different regions in the country were told that it was exchange congestion. This, even after proof was provided that the lines/connections in question were fully functional on ALL other ISP accounts.

Make up your minds already, which is it!?!?!?!?!
Actually, forget all the side-stepping and double-speak.... I want to know WHEN it will be FIXED, and WHEN I will get what I am paying for - it's been 3 MONTHS already. Prove to us for a change that it IS NOT YOUR NETWORK!

Sounds odd, do you have any open tickets with our Support team I can follow up on for you?

I send you personal massages everybody have the same problem you tell me you coming back to me no reply sins Friday know you ask me about a ticket I give you my account an and Send you an email with my traceroute
I show where the problems are

Pure internet joy NOT Afiguy Can I please have an update to my PMs?

^ 10Meg line btw

Here are some traces done on AXXESS and AFRIHOST.
You will notice from these that the problem is definitely Afrihost and NOT the MTN network.

Axxess uses the exact same routing and IP addresses as Afrihost, but Axxess works, and Afrihost does not. This proves that something is not right with the AH management software. Might also explain the countless problems I have with ClientZone, and why I haven't been able to use half the features in there for months.

Look at how smooth and even each hop is on Axxess, and then the exact same IP/hop on Afrihost. This proves that the congestion is NOT at any of our exchanges, but rather on Afrhost's side.

Whats the point in doing tests, sending pm's and no one gets back to you. You then contact support and get told you must not confuse anyone and Critical Care will get back to you. How long does Afrihost expect a person to wait, please give us a simple answer. We must be civil, we must wait and pay, but I see very little happening from an Afrihost side except for the standard support responses over and over again.

I think Afihost suffers from a few issues, poor communication, un qualified people in key positions (thats an assumption I am making on the time it takes to get any decent answers from anyone). What qualifications do the Critical Care guys have?

What qualifications do the Critical Care guys have?

It appears less than a lot of guys here on this forum. It cannot be this hard to recognise that there IS a problem, figure out a fix, and then EXECUTE. For the life of me, I just don't get it... the tests I have been asked to provide over and over prove the FACTS. Now tell us when we can expect resolution - not hard, it's what we're paying for. I can only imagine how my clients would feel if my hosting service to them had failed and I strung them along like this for months.... I would be out of business long ago.
Clients expect, no, they DEMAND good service ALL THE TIME. They also want speedy resolution, and a reasonable explanation of what went wrong, and whether it will happen again (STABILITY).
I currently get much better service from Telkom, to be honest.

AH is about as stable as a one-legged hooker, standing on the deck of a ship in a major storm at sea :(

This cost me R1197.00 per month (8MB BUsiness Uncapped), PureJoy.

The network cant even give you a proper speed after Buisness hours?

My 8Mbit account usually runs at full speed, but today it's been crap. I had similar speeds to yours earlier, but it's improved a bit to around 6Mbps. I usually get 7Mbps on my line with any ISP, including AH.

You should try the same test with the Axxess Free account... would be interesting to see the result, seeing as the traffic will take EXACTLY the same route.
