Those are horrible results :(
I can't seem to match them to monitoring though - would you minding sending through a PM with your details so I can run a few checks for you?

i got a WA Capped Account in the meantime while this is going on and i am getting speed issues. They are jumping up and down.

Odd that you're seeing a poor experience across multiple networks, that usually points to some line/ exchange issues :(
Did you manage to grab any comparison results you can paste up here so we can check?

No point in running any tests - we all know what the problem is. Insufficient capacity for the customer base and it all falls down.

Ok at the moment as one would expect.

Is that a local test though? The latency still seems very high :(
While there are overall issues, I'm trying to match up with what's been trended already. Some issues are more extreme and need to be investigated on a case by case basis.

That's looking OK. Hope it stays like this :)

Yes that is a Jhb server. Current looks like this

That is using the MBB speedtest and I don't think that latency figure is correct.

This is from the speedtest.net page a few minutes later

Yeah something seems a bit off with the latency from the MyBB test.
Ookla's looks OK, what's the real world stuff like though? If you ping a site, what are the results?

Hey guys

Just a quick one, progress is being made :)
I've pasted a link at the bottom of this post where you can fill in your info and get things ready for the testing. This won't open a test account for you immediately, we're collecting details for existing clients - we'll have DSL details passed on as soon as they're available.

Just registered all 5 of my DSL accounts.

So can you tell us which upstream provider this will be working on, or is this a complete new Afrihost network with it's own IPC?

For the moment, we're not revealing all those details, but Gian will go into more detail in the coming week or so.
