Better than earlier, but not the best.
Could you grab a test from speedtest.net please?

You can't really use the results from earlier as there was an external interference, these results are based purely with no interference....
Will do a quick speed test with speedtest.net

EDIT -

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4478076134

That looks more like a real-world result based on the monitoring too.
When the higher latency eases you should see slightly better throughput.

Sorry but I don't believe that......
I hardly had this problem when the network was functioning perfectly.....
I could run a speedtest on SAIX as well as speedtest.net and get better results than now....
So telling me that it's real world result is an excuse for the network not functioning properly.....
I do understand that you guys are having issues at the moment but please stop with the excuses.....
So youtube only using about 1/10 of my line is a real-world result as well, I don't think so....
So how was it that before you guys joined up with MTN, I could play pretty much any video on youtube and stream them at 1080p, was that not real-world results as well? So what's changed from then till now to drastically change the real-world results?
But now only a few videos will stream at 720p without any buffering, this is not a real world result more like a degradation of network....
I may sound harsh but I have no intention of coming off that way, just hope that these POC's fixes your problems....

I don't think I've tried to make excuses here, simply saying that the speedtest run off Ookla's speedtest.net shows a more accurate results, as I've seen the MyBB speedtest do strange things in the past.

No, things aren't running as they should - I think the discussion on these forums proves that.

What I've said though, is once latency has normalised (as it's currently high in the region) your experience should get better.

We're still on the same network, the POC is going live soon.
Have you signed up for access?

I did. I'm still on a 1GB capped free account with you guys, but it would be worthwhile to see what's going on with the new network and how it performs.

I'm not sure what the final process will be, but the submission form should allow you to submit any username to be considered for the testing.

Latency has been horrific since Monday! Before someone blames my exchange, other people in KZN are also seeing high latency.

They are indeed, there's been intermittently high latency in the South and East.

I thought after five days of this someone would have found a temporary solution??
Is the current network just being let go, and nothing being done until the new magic "POC" is online?

Not at all, we're still working really hard to get the best possible experience out of the network now - but the long term solution and benefits will start popping up once the POC has been finalised and implemented.

Even tough i have bitched and moaned like every person here about AH Performance. I am on a WA Business Account and ........................ My speeds are so crap it is jumping up and down still. And not this is noy my line as with AH i did not have this issue.

So i am sticking it out until this is solved as AH still "HAS" the best network and performance on all platforms.

AfriGuy what is the new ETA on testing please. this MIA of people and not stating what is happening is really getting to people. Like i told you before you need to post a Sticky with all the details and update it daily with the progress. You have to go into details so people can read and understand what is going on and where you are now.

At the moment we're still a bit conservative with the dates, but we fully expect to have test available in the next two weeks. Once we gotten an idea how the PoCs handle extended periods of high usage, we should then have a better idea as to how quickly we can start to move more Client's across.

And so the weekend fun begins. Youtube dead and other browsing at a crawl.

Evening!

Demand in the South looks okay at the moment, can you please send me a PM with your account details so that I can make sure everything is as it should be.
