Pfffft, you know we have a 20Mbps VDSL Uncapped account hey?![]()
I would take that any day if you manage to convince Telkom to upgrade my mini-DSLAM (011 467 0###) (hell, even 10Mbps would already be a step up).

I cant justify changing from a 10Mb business to the 20Mb home uncapped (as it costs the same) with all the shaping that the guys are saying happens on the normal accounts. Will consider it once the shaping has lessened.
Would love a 20Mb business account, but at double the price I am currently paying there isn't enough internet to download to justify that unless I take up some seriously hardcore fetishes.

I get you!
Our Home Uncapped accounts are set to improve, not sure if you guys saw my post in the other thread - but we do have some plans in the pipelines to sort the shaping out once and for all![]()
Oooo now that sounds promising. No timeline I guess? I too would consider going onto a 10MB uncapped home account if the shaping is gone. or at least minimal!!
The shaping won't disappear, the accounts will still be subjected to shaping as we've always done - but it shouldn't be on the levels that we're currently seeing.
No timelines yet, as soon as we get them we'll pass them onto you guys![]()
Sweet. Yeah I do understand that and do not expect to be unshaped ALL the time. But if we could just go back to how it was at the beginning of September, I would gladly move onto a 10mb home uncapped account.
We're doing our best to get it there![]()
Cool, please lemme know if you have any feedback on the Telkom techy that should fix my exchange.
Thanks
Have this morning's latency issues been sorted?
Yes, the latency has normalised.
I am not getting my full line speed. P2P speeds are fluctuating with 140KB/s being the highest I can achieve.
and I think these issues were present for the latter part of the day a 2GB file took over 4 hours to download
