Youtube and browsing is fine, just like on the home uncapped. But my downloading is absolutely pathetic!!

I think there must be some shaping involved here... Got to be!!

I give you until Monday to fix this. If I do not see an improvement I will cancel. That is it!! I have had it!!

Still getting "awesome" P2P speeds. Will keep a good eye on this until after 12am. If the download speed then goes up then AfriHost should not even mention this unshaped crap to me again...

What happens if you try with another ISP/Backbone?

I have been saying this for weeks. They are shaping something somewhere.

My proof is simple. I downgraded from the business uncapped to a 150GB capped account. Guess what? Yes, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube stream like a boss in HD. My http downloads from US servers, 90% line speed, where with the business account I got under 200kb/sec at all times. Browsing also feels snappier.

So again @Afriman. Are the business accounts the same as the capped accounts, apart from the data??

Probably unshaped yes, with a BIG contention ratio maybe?
 
I spoke too soon. My http downloads is fluctuating between 9k and 30k. Should be getting 550 to 600 on my 6MB line.
 
Anyone else still struggling with streaming from twitch.tv? I'm on a 8 meg business uncapped account and cant even stream on high and medium without buffering, everything else runs full speed.
I have noticed something strange though, sometimes when you connect to a stream you will get a local address https://www.dropbox.com/s/l98d6yy0j8gwunq/Twitch IP.jpg that tracerts to a Mweb server. When this happens the stream runs perfectly.
Most of the time though it connects to an international IP in the 192.16.65.? range and that's where the streaming is bad. Am i the only one experiencing this? Can anything be done about it?
 
Business uncapped performing like crap tonight, SSL NZB over port 563.

Usually get 1.2Mb/s, tonight it's bouncing between 50 and 300KB/s. Change to Telkom ISP and it's full speed. Let's see if this comes right soon.

My torrents are almost dead. They were going full speed around an hour ago, and now nothing will achieve more than 15KB/s. I've tried testing a bunch of very popular torrents and none perform better. There aren't any other PC's currently using the home network and speed tests show normal results. Rebooting the router hasn't helped. Rather disappointed that performance has dropped like this after midnight, particularly when Afrihost so often claims that these accounts aren't shaped.
